Genesis 13:5-15:21~Matthew 5:27-48~Psalm 6:1-10~Proverbs 1:29-33

Genesis 15:6 And he believed the LORD, and he counted it to him as righteousness.

Apparently righteousness is all about God and not about us.

Genesis 15:16 And they shall come back here in the fourth generation, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete."

Is this mercy? Justice?

Psalm 6:4 Turn, O LORD, deliver my life;
save me for the sake of your steadfast love.

Again, it's about God. He delivers his people for the sake of his hesed (steadfast love).

Proverbs 1:31 therefore they shall eat the fruit of their way,
and have their fill of their own devices.

The law of retribution (something that is all over Revelation (we're studying this at the college gathering where I teach).
