Genesis 18:16-19:38~Matthew 6:25-7:14~Psalm 8:1-9~Proverbs 2:6-15

Genesis 19:29 So it was that, when God destroyed the cities of the valley, God remembered Abraham and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow when he overthrew the cities in which Lot had lived.
This is an incredible statement: Lot was saved because God remembered Abraham. So, Abraham's participation in the covenant with God "leaked over" to Lot. Does that still happen?

Psalm 8:1 O LORD, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory above the heavens.
Here, though, is the main reason God saves anyone: his own majesty and glory. That's the point of worship. We remember who God is and, in remembering him, we remember who we are and we are amazed.
