DESPITE OUR STUMBLING DANCE

Like a dance,
sometimes stumbling,
sometimes elegant,
the one body
and the each part
move and flow.

We, in our
inherited disconnection
long for connection
yet,
fearful of submersion,
we stand at arms length.

Still,
we are one,
for he is one
and we in him
and he in us,
the many parts
are one body,
despite our stumbling dance.
