Numbers 22

Woe to them! For they ...abandoned themselves for the sake of gain to Balaam’s error

External obedience,
internal?
who knows,
but apparently not.

Some piece of Balaam's heart,
blinded,
drawn away.

And Yahweh
pounds his word
through a donkey
into the prophet.

The irony screams.
