Genesis 42:18-43:34 ~ Matthew 13:47-14:12 ~ Psalm 18:16-36 ~ Proverbs 4:7-10

Proverbs 4:7
The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom,
and whatever you get, get insight.
As I read this, I could not help remembering Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge;
fools despise wisdom and instruction.
How do these go together? How is it that the beginning of wisdom is both "the fear of the LORD" and following the instruction, "Get wisdom"? Both deal with attitude and perspecive, but how are htey the beginning of wisdom?
Psalm 18:35
You have given me the shield of your salvation,
and your right hand supported me,
and your gentleness made me great.
How did God's gentleness make the psalmist great?

Lots to ponder.
