Seen on campus...I'm not sure what

Well, they appear to be tiny dwellings made of corrugated fiberboard ("cardboard" for the uninformed). I've no idea why or what exactly, but then on a university campus, such sights are not new.

Poppies: Beauty along the way

I found these beauties along the side of the road as I walked from my recent writing retreat to the grocery store.

Sadness: The Lawn Chairs are gone

The Lawn Chairs...

...have moved away
Alas, such is the case with temporary installations.

The only "good" thing about street litter

Yesterday, during a break at a meeting, the topic of litter came up. I've no idea how. Anyway, I mentioned how much litter marks my neighborhood and how the only redeeming factor is the feeding of crows. Not that it's good for crows to eat litter or that this redeems the practice. Okay, I'm starting to rant, so I'll stop.
