I've been published. It's kinda weird.

My review of Joann Jung's Godly Conversation has been published in the Fall 2012 issue of the Journal of Spiritual Formation and Soul Care (Vol. 5, Issue 2). "Godly Conversation: rediscovering the Puritan practice of conference lays out a historical-theological case for adding Puritan conference to contemporary Christian formation. Conference is discourse about Scripture, in the context of mutual soul care, for the purpose of knowing and doing God’s truth" (dinky excerpt from the review). I recommend the book to those in ministry or preparing for ministry. And in a bit of self-promotion, I recommend you read my review. :-)

The journal is on EBSCOhost and Academic OneFile for those who have access to these services.

Prepping to read (meme)

Booking Through Thursday asks:
"Do you cheat and peek at the ends of books?"

I nearly always to an Adler-style scan before reading a book.

The Glory of Christ, A. M. Ramsey (book preview)

The NT understanding of glory, founded upon the OT usage of kavod (radiance-power) and centered on the person of Christ, unifies Christian doctrine and worship.
