Coming up in April, I'll be (co-)leading a TFB Academy discussing the question, "What is worship?" These posts are the beginning of my thinking. These are, admittedly, rough and initial responses to the passages.

Psalm 115

We seek transcendence in so many experiences, as if experience of "consolations" was the purpose of life. This same tendency shapes our worship gatherings, putting the focus on ourselves rather than on our sovereign God. This ought not to be so.
