Tending toward the unfortunate blurt...

When I leave life unexamined, I tend toward the unfortunate blurt. The tact-minder goes on vacation and waiting think before speaking does not occur.

Waiting...
Of course, there is the benefit of unvarnished opinion; this does have value. But is the benefit of honesty worth the possible cost? What does the tendency reveal about my heart? I'm not sure I've an answer to either question.

Evidence of the passing seasons: the Liquid Amber

Each Sunday, on my way to Old Torrance Coffee and Tea, I pass by a smallish Liquid Amber tree. This is one of the few trees that shows the sort of seasonal evidence that folks from other areas of the states see as normal. Here's a bit of its evidence.

Green in Orange - not that one

The Orange and the  Green is (apparently) a song about the troubles between orange (Protestant) and green (Catholic) in Northern Ireland. While the troubles have been on my mind lately, it being Saint Paddy's Day this past Sunday, that's not what I mean today. Sorry for the bait and switch, but this is rather stream of consciousness (which surely says something about my consciousness).

I'm speaking of my lovely morning green beverage, carried in a glass water bottle from Lifefactory:

Yum.

By the way, all the links to companies/organizations are simply spreading the love; I get nothing save warm feelings.

Finally met the morning

After four days of not making it up at the appointed hour,  I am finally here to write.

Daylight savings, my eye

For the late risers who are wondering where the lovely evening light came from, observe this pictoral evidence:
