I saw Stan Grenz for the one and only time at EC San Diego this Spring. With Brian McLaren, he led us in a learning session on Scripture. What impressed me the most about that session is that this theologian, who no doubt could have impressed us all with his brilliance, chose to teach us by example; his mini-sermon not only taught us about interacting with Scripture, but it taught us about God. I thank God for the opportunity to hear Stan speak his heart and I am sad that I will not have the chance again.
I pray for his friends and family. Such loss is deeply felt.
