Proverbs 12:28
In the path of righteousness is life,
and in its pathway there is no death.
our souls leak
memories.
twelve stones set
to remember.
still, we forget.
we remember the stones,
forget the story,
forget the holy life
that remembers the story.
we think we remember.
when enemies come, we plead,
"Do you remember?"
when all along our lives have forgotten.
