Source: Ephesians
Essential power,
his alone.
Able to act,
to work.
Yet,
good,
grace-filled,
shared.
Contingent power,
arrogantly "owned,"
rebelliously applied.
Seen
and
unseen.
Real.
Defeatable.
Defeated.
Dependent power,
graciously given.
Lavished upon,
lived in love,
owned
by the One to whom
we belong.
MYSTERY
Hidden.
Ever pointing
in Torah,
in Nevi'im,
in Ketuvim,
mere shadows,
glimpses,
no more.
Messiah comes,
sharpening
the edges of
truth.
Messiah calls.
Saul becomes Paul,
shouting,
proclaiming,
declaring
the
scandalous,
revealed
mystery:
Us and Them
are
We.
Scandal to
the
stubborn.
Good News to
the
hungry.
Hidden.
