Reflections on TFB's August 17, 2008 Sunday sermon.

John 14:1-14

Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.

John 14:1

Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.
They collapse and fall,
but we rise and stand upright.

Psalm 20:7-8

Shattered bits,
scattered,
and all is lost.

Valiant efforts
are of no avail
and we,
like Dumpty,
lay broken and helpless.

But in him
our hearts gain new eyes
and we see the end
and we stand in hope.
