FEAR IN PIOUS CLOTHES

Isaiah 7:1-9:7

If you are not firm in faith,
you will not be firm at all.
Isaiah 7:9b

Ahaz is confronted.
Situation made clear:
terror.

Yet the command:
do not fear.

But fear,
putting on pious clothes,
fears

and promised years of terror
lay ahead.
