ULTIMATE CONCERN FOR MATURITY--do we have it?

Colossians 1:24-2:5

If God takes seriously our partnership with him, if what we do and who we become in time truly influences the final shape of the people of God, then we ought to have ultimate concern for bringing each and all to maturity in Christ.

Why do we lack this concern?

Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me.
