I spent about five hours on Saturday working through a solo curriculum development boot camp. It was a good, introspective time--enhanced by a great location: LA's Union Station.
Ahhhhh.... I love union station. My family used to ride the train up there and then go up to China town, Philippes and onto alvera street, we arrived back to the station, tired and very full! I think it is a great place to go and write or think....
I was considering Philippes until I walked in and decided I just wasn't hungry enough to wait in the line. Ah well. Love the space, though: people, happenings (they were filming something--movie/TV), atmosphere.
My only concern was the "No Loitering" sign: is sitting in the lobby for 4 hours while journaling the same as loitering?? Hope not.
