"God robed in flesh."
The words are lofty,
comfortably vague.
But let's get real.
God, thrust by muscular contraction
From his mother's womb:
His mother!
Weird.
God, getting a diaper change
God, learning to walk
God, learning to read
God, sweating
God, playing with his friends
God, walking roads with Dusty feet
God, beaten, spat upon, killed
God, buried
God, risen
Fully God
Fully human. Fully.
With all that entails
Except sin
Jesus, God robed in flesh
Shows us what it means to be
Human.
Shows us, through blood and Bones, life and breath
What God is like.
Exactly
What God is like.
Lofty is an insufficient descriptor.
