We must remain watchful in times of clarity and darkness, but especially in the murkiness of the in-between.
As murkiness increases, attention must also increase. This is especially critical in those times when we think we have sufficient clarity, but things are actually becoming less clear.
Now, in times of actual clarity, we likely do understand. In times of utter murkiness, we know that we do not. Danger lurks in those times when life is becoming less clear, yet we think it is quite clear.
So, we must remain watchful, both of circumstances and self, lest we live in a state of unexamined self-deception.
