Only Jesus Brings Safety

Comfort may be found in many places, but only Jesus brings safety.

The world is a dangerous place, and living here can hurt. But the one who is in Jesus is safe, always safe. Sometimes, we recognize this and rest close to him. Other times, we forget and turn to trusting persons, self, circumstances, or whatever. None of these suffice. They may bring comfort, but they cannot bring safety. Only Jesus can do that.

Thankfully, our safety in Jesus does not depend upon our choices but upon his choice. And he always and ever chooses to be for us and keep us safe.

So, whether here on Earth or in the immediate presence of God in heaven, those who are in Jesus are safe and able to rest, whether in comfort or discomfort.
