Good inputs and good processing form the well-equipped heart from which flows wise living.
Wise living does not burst forth from a vacuum. It needs good input and good processing. Life experience, engagement with God's Word, and increase in human knowledge are important inputs. But input alone is insufficient.
Input must be understood, interpreted, and incorporated into one's structure of knowledge if it is to be of use to the heart (the center of feeling and deciding). Wise living pours forth from a heart well-equipped with a growing structure of knowledge that is continually fed by good input and formed by good processes. Whether expressed in deliberative action or intuitive leaps, wise living springs from a well-equipped heart.
