A couple initial portraits of my gift from Ann: a cello!

Mind you, I played the cello from 1973 to 1978. A bit of a while ago. Still, I put the bow to the strings yesterday (after rosining said bow for the requisite 20 minutes--yeah, that was fun) and the fingers and arm actually remembered stuff. Not bad. Now it's on to scales, bowing practice, Dotzauer etudes, and some fun ad libbing.
