Community Love Evidences Discipleship (John 13:31-35)

Jesus's love for us shows us what our love for others should look like: unconditional, self-sacrificial, and unwilling to leave others broken.

  • As a new people, the church is constituted as the community Jesus loves.
  • Jesus's love for us is the grounding of his controlling command that we love one another the way he has loved us.
  • Our love for one another is the evidence to outsiders and that we are disciples of Jesus.
