Trusting Jesus, being his people, and following his commands in no way means we're always dead sure.

readiness and lack of doubt have never been criteria for obeying Jesus'
command to make disciples: we live by trust-belief not by bang-sure
knowledge. Indeed, judging from the gospels, the worshipers' doubt takes
focus away from the worshipers themselves and onto the one worshiped:
Jesus.
Doubt is part of the story we tell: we may doubt, but Jesus remains. He is Lord and Savior and the only one with whom we have to do.
