Journey to the Cross: Monday, February 28, 2005
“Out of the believer’s heart shall flow rivers of living water.” The creator of life reminds us that we were born instead to be deep wells of life. From our hearts, our very human hearts, come rivers of living water. Seeing Jesus and believing in this puts us in the stream of God’s grace and mercy. Our hearts become the home of God, the place where we take our shoes off, put our feet up,and sit in the company of the one who first decorated the place.
The kind of faith community I'd like to build is one that encourages this and teaches the how of it. As Pastor Charlie said yesterday at tfb, Pray big. Dream big. Expect big.
